VDS and VIP Cases
VDS Case
A virtual dedicated server is a virtual server which occupies the whole hardware node and consumes all the hardware resources by itself. Therefore, to provision a VDS on a hardware node, you need it to be absolutely free. You can use Cloud Infrastructure Automation provisioning attribute, to mark the node which will be used only for a VDS provisioning. Ordinary virtual servers will not be able to occupy this node.
VIP Case
You can pick out more powerful virtualization nodes to be used only for VIP client subscriptions and assign Cloud Infrastructure Automation provisioning attributes to those nodes. Then, you should add the same provisioning attribute to the service template which will be used for VIP clients. VIP client subscriptions will be provisioned only to the nodes specified with the corresponding Cloud Infrastructure Automation provisioning attributes. The rest client subscriptions will be provisioned to ordinary virtualization nodes.
Important: Be aware that switching between the service plans based on different virtual server templates is impossible.
