Creating a Service Template for Software Subscription Licenses
For your Office 365 application instance and its resources that represent software subscription licenses, you must create a separate service template.
Important:
1. You must create only one service template for an Office 365 application instance and its resources that represent software subscription licenses.
2. Do not include resources of different Office 365 application instances in the same service template.
To create a service template for software subscription licenses, perform the following actions:
- In the Provider Control Panel, go to Products > Service Templates.
- Click Add New Service Template.
-
Specify the following parameters:
- Name: The name of this service template. For example: Office 365 (Software Subscription Licenses).
- Description: (Optional) The description of this service template.
- Autoprovisioning: This defines whether subscriptions based on this service template are auto-provisioned (Yes or No). Select Yes.
- Type: This defines the type of this service template. Select the Custom value from the drop-down list.
Click Next.
-
Include the following resource types:
- Office 365 Global Settings. The resource limit must be set to Unlimited.
- Office 365 Tenant. The resource limit must be set to 1.
- Office 365 User. The resource limit defines the maximum number of Odin Automation users which can have the Office 365 service assigned in an Office 365 organization. The resource limit must be set to Unlimited.
- Office 365 Cloud User. The resource limit defines the maximum number of Office 365 users which can be created in an Office 365 organization. The resource limit must be set to Unlimited.
- Office 365 Domain. The resource limit defines the maximum number of domains which can be created in an Office 365 organization. The resource limit must be set to Unlimited.
- All Office 365 Software Subscription License resource types that you created for your Office 365 application instance. The resource limit defines the maximum number of software subscription licenses of a particular type that can be used in an Office 365 organization. The resource limit must be set to 0. Note that the actual resource limits will be configured in the corresponding service plans. See Creating Office 365 Service Plans for Software Subscription Licenses for details.
-
PBA. The resource limit must be set to Unlimited.
Note: The PBA resource type must be included if you need integration between the application and OA Billing. This integration enables customers to adjust license limits and upgrade licenses on the application screen located at Office 365 > Licenses. If you do not need this integration, do not include the resource type in this service template.
- Office 365 Subscription Provisioning. The resource limit must be set to 1.
- Async Operations. The resource limit must be set to Unlimited.
- Office 365 Tenant Contact Data. The resource limit must be set to 1.
- Total points sold. The resource limit must be set to Unlimited.
- Total seats sold. The resource limit must be set to Unlimited.
Click Next.
- Specify the resource limits and click Next.
- Validate these service template parameters carefully and click Finish.
- Activate the newly created service template.
- In the Provider Control Panel, go to Products > Service Plans.
- Select the Service Templates tab.
- Click the newly created service template.
-
Configure the Destroy Service on Cancel property of the service template:
