Creating a Microsoft 365 Subscription on Behalf of a Customer
In some cases, you may need to create a Microsoft 365 subscription on behalf of a customer. For instance, a customer wants to buy Microsoft 365 licenses from you, and asks you to create an account with a Microsoft 365 subscription for them.
To do this, use the following guidelines:
-
Collect the following customer data:
- the company name of the customer
- the address of the customer
- the contact email address of the customer
- the contact phone of the customer
- the licenses the customer wants to buy
- the Microsoft 365 initial subdomain the customer wants to use
-
Create the respective account and Microsoft 365 subscription in CloudBlue Commerce:
- In your control panel, click Billing.
- Go to Operations > Orders, and then click Create Account And Place Order.
- Follow the wizard.
As a result, an order is created. If the customer has provided you with billing data such as a credit card number and the credit card's expiration date, you can make the corresponding order paid. Otherwise, there must be a pre-configured payment method that will enable the customer to make the order paid later from the control panel of CloudBlue Commerce.
Note: For information about configuring payment methods, refer to the Billing Provider Guide.
