Limitations
The import scripts have the following limitations:
- When the
readCSPAccounts.py
script tries to find suitable Microsoft 365 service plans for tenant subscriptions, it ignores Microsoft 365 service plans that have resource rates of non-Microsoft 365 resources. -
When creating subscriptions, the import scripts do not create sales orders as the payments for the respective cloud subscriptions are already obtained outside CloudBlue Commerce. As a result, if configured, promotions cannot be applied to these subscriptions.
-
For a Microsoft 365 subscription created in CloudBlue Commerce with the
importSubsCSP.py
script, all resource downgrade orders placed within the current billing period will contain zero resource prices and will not include order details. As a result, the customer placing the orders will not receive any refunds. When the current billing period ends and the first billing order is automatically placed for the Microsoft 365 subscription, further resource downgrade orders will work as expected. To calculate a refund for a resource downgrade order of a subscription, CloudBlue Commerce uses orders placed earlier. Because the script creates a Microsoft 365 subscription without placing an order, CloudBlue Commerce does not have the necessary information to calculate the refund for a resource downgrade order of the Microsoft 365 subscription until the first billing order is automatically placed, which will happen when the current billing period ends.
- Service plans where Billing Model is set to Charge After Billing Period are not supported (incorrect invoices are generated for subscriptions to such service plans).
-
Subscriptions cannot be imported if Rating Engine is enabled for the service plan.
We recommend that you plan the import of tenant subscriptions according to these specific circumstances.
