Preparing a CSP Partner Account

You will need to prepare the following:

  • The credentials of a user with the Global admin and Admin agent roles in your CSP partner account. You will use these credentials to grant the Microsoft 365 application permissions to make calls to the Partner Center and Graph APIs on behalf of your CSP partner account (see Giving Consent and Acquiring Refresh Token for details).

Also, make sure that Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled for the user, as described at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/authentication/howto-mfa-userstates.

Note: The credentials will be used for deployment only. The Microsoft 365 application will not store these credentials.

  • The Microsoft ID of your CSP partner account. To obtain it, follow these steps:

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft Partner Center as a user of your CSP partner account.
    2. Click the Settings icon located in the upper right corner.
    3. Select Organization profile.
    4. Write down the value of the Microsoft ID setting.
