If you are going to use SQL Server Express LocalDB (x64) as a storage solution for Microsoft 365 application endpoint data, you only need to install SQL Server Express LocalDB (x64) on the Microsoft 365 Application Endpoint Host. You can use the instructions below to install it.
To install SQL Server Express LocalDB (x64), perform the following actions:
- Log on to the Microsoft 365 Application Endpoint Host as Administrator.

Download the required version of SQL Server Express LocalDB (x64).
- Run the downloaded file.
- Follow the wizard.
Note: Do not create any databases for Microsoft 365 gateway applications yourself. These databases will be created automatically during the installation of the Microsoft 365 application endpoint.
