New Features and Changes

Context

Microsoft recently announced that, starting on October 9, 2023, DAP will no longer be available with reseller relationships and partners must explicitly grant granular permissions to security groups in the Default GDAP to manage customers.

Additionally, from November 2023, customers can be created with a default GDAP relationship consisting of a minimum set of GDAP roles (pre-defined by Microsoft), which is automatically activated without the customer's intervention.

To adapt to these changes, the following changes have been introduced in Microsoft 365 APS 20.7.

New Features

  • Microsoft Default GDAP relationship will be enabled by default on customer creation.

  • The AdminAgents security group will be added to the default GDAP relationship, with all the corresponding roles.

Note: The default GDAP relationship will not be auto-extended automatically. If you want the default GDAP relationship to be auto-extended for a period of 180 days, you will have to configure this manually in the Microsoft Partner Center.
