Completing Migration
After migration has completed, make sure that everything went as planned.
- Check the migration report in System > Migration Manager > Migration Projects > Completed tab > migration project name > Statistics tab. If some of the migrated items are listed in the Finished with warnings columns, read the accompanying notices and try resolving the issues.
- If you performed migration in the test mode and selected the option to keep the types of IP addresses, then to check the migrated websites, edit the \etc\hosts file on the computer from which you are checking: add new IP addresses for all migrated domains. If you performed a test migration with the option to keep the types IP addresses and configured the router to prevent network address conflicts, be sure to configure the proper routing to the target websites from your local computer.
- If you performed migration in the production mode, start checking the content:
- Open some of the migrated websites in a web browser.
- Check some of the migrated mailboxes in Customer Panel (UX1 for Customers).
- If you performed a full migration in the production mode, check whether domains were migrated and DNS forwarding was set up: try resolving domain names through the name servers of the source system. The domains must resolve to the IP addresses of Odin Automation service nodes. If they still resolve to the IP addresses of the source system, it means that forwarding was not set up.
During the migration of DNS zones, the settings for integration of Odin Automation with domain registrars are not migrated. This makes it impossible to manage domain registration settings through Provider Panel and Customer Panel of Odin Automation. To enable your users to manage domain registration settings for domains, refer to the article at https://kb.odin.com/en/130651.
