Adobe Subscription Renewal Management Interface
CloudBlue Commerce introduces a dedicated Adobe Subscriptions Renewal Management interface, enabling resellers to view and control active Current Quantities and upcoming Renewal Quantities independently.
While partners can still place traditional Scheduled Change Orders, doing so locks the subscription against intermediate updates until the renewal date. The Renewal Management interface provides a flexible alternative that eliminates subscription locking while offering real-time visibility, bulk editing, and instant validation against Adobe's business rules.
Key Features and Capabilities
-
Independent Quantity Tracking: View active Current Quantity and upcoming Renewal Quantity side-by-side for every line item.
-
No Subscription Locking: Updating renewal settings through this interface does not create a Scheduled Order lock on the CloudBlue subscription, allowing immediate mid-term upsizes or returns to be processed at any time.
-
Single and Bulk Editing: Modify renewal quantities, toggle Auto-Renew status, and apply or clear promotional/flexible discount codes for single or multiple SKUs in a single operation.
-
Real-Time Validation and Feedback: Receive explicit per-row OK or Error status messages following any change attempt, ensuring full transparency if Adobe restricts an update.
-
Add Products at Renewal: Search and add new Adobe products to co-term with the existing anniversary date without impacting current active licenses.
Accessing the Interface in UX1
-
Log in to the UX1 Control Panel as a reseller.
-
Navigate to Customers > Subscriptions and select the target Adobe VIP Marketplace subscription.
-
On the Subscription Details screen, click the Renewal Management button located on the top action bar.
Note: The Renewal Management interface is built specifically for the reseller persona. Provider or Operating Unit (OpUnit) administrators who need to access this screen must impersonate the respective reseller account.
Updating Renewal Quantities, Auto-Renew, and Discounts
Resellers can update upcoming renewal settings for active subscriptions at any time during the subscription term without waiting for a specific renewal window.
Step-by-Step Instructions
-
Open the target subscription in UX1 and click Renewal Management.
-
In the Adobe Subscriptions Renewal Management table, review the current state of all associated Adobe SKUs:
-
Current Qty: Displays active licenses currently deployed and billable.
-
Renewal Qty: Displays the seat quantity scheduled to renew on the anniversary date.
-
Auto-Renew: Indicates whether automatic renewal is enabled or disabled in Adobe.
-
Status: Current state of the line item in Adobe.
-
-
Modify the desired fields directly in the table row:
-
To Downsize or Upsize at Renewal: Enter the new desired seat number in the Renewal Qty field.
-
To Change Auto-Renew: Toggle the Auto-Renew switch or select Enabled/Disabled.
-
To Apply Discount Codes: Enter an eligible promotional code or flexible discount code in the Discount Code field.
-
-
Bulk Updates: To update multiple subscriptions simultaneously, select the checkboxes next to the target SKUs, choose the bulk edit action from the table header, and enter the updated parameters.
-
Click Apply Changes.
-
Review the outcome in the Status column:
-
Success (OK): The update was accepted and confirmed by Adobe's backend.
-
Error: If an update fails (e.g., attempting to downsize below a 3-Year Commitment threshold or applying an invalid discount code), a clear error message will display on the affected row detailing the exact cause.
Note: When a flexible discount code is submitted, the system automatically runs a renewal preview with Adobe (PREVIEW_RENEWAL). If Adobe rejects the discount code, the system automatically resets the flexible discount codes on that subscription to prevent order blockages during renewal.
-
Adding New Products for Renewal
Resellers can add new Adobe products—offers the customer does not currently hold—to renew and co-term alongside existing subscriptions.
Business Rules and Renewal Window
-
Existing Active Subscriptions: Updates to renewal quantities, auto-renew status, and discount codes on currently active SKUs can be performed at any time throughout the term.
-
New Product Additions (Renewal Window Gate): Adding new, unowned products to an upcoming renewal is restricted to the Renewal Window, defined as between 30 days and 3 days prior to the customer's anniversary date. Outside this window, product additions are disabled.
How to Add a New Product for Renewal
-
Open the Renewal Management interface for the customer.
-
Verify that the subscription is within the active renewal window (30 to 3 days before anniversary).
-
Click the Add Product for Renewal button above the subscription table.
-
In the modal window, search for the desired product by Product Name or Manufacturer Part Number (MPN / Offer ID).
-
Select the product, enter the desired Renewal Quantity, and enter any applicable discount codes.
-
Click Add Products.
-
The system will create the new scheduled subscription co-termed to the customer's anniversary date, appearing immediately in the Renewal Management subscription table.
