Configuring the Sales Model

Azure NCE CONNECT supports two different sales models: Direct sales model (DM) and indirect sales model (IM).

• Indirect model: No additional configuration is required. If the Tier 1 Account External ID is not associated with a marketplace hub, the connector will use the indirect sales model (IM). In this case, specifying the MPN in the ordering process will be required.
• Direct model: To configure the direct model it is necessary to associate the Tier 1 Account External ID with a hub, within a specific marketplace in the Distributor Portal. Specifying the MPN in the ordering process will not be required in this case.

Configuring the Direct Sales Model in the Distributor Portal

To configure the direct sales model, complete the following steps:

1. Log in to the Connect Distributor Portal and select Marketplaces in the main menu at the top.
2. Find the corresponding marketplace and click the pencil icon to see the marketplace configuration.
3. Click Hubs and specify the corresponding Tier 1 Account External ID for each hub in the Tier Account External ID column.

Once the direct model is configured it will not be necessary to specify the MPN in the ordering process.
