Product Installation

Once the CloudBlue Commerce extension is installed on your platform, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to the CloudBlue Commerce Provider Control Panel (v1 or v2).
  2. Click the Connect option in the main menu on the left.
  3. Find the product in the list and click Manage.
  4. If a connection for the product has not been created in the CloudBlue Connect Distributor Portal, you will have to create it first. To do this, click the Create Connection button available in the PCP v2 or just go to the corresponding product in the Distributor Portal and click Connections > Create Connection. Then, select the environment and the hub instance and click Request.
  5. Now the product should be ready to be installed in the PCP. Go back to the corresponding product on the CloudBlue Commerce PCP by clicking Install (Manage > Actions > Install if you are in the PCP v2).

Note: Optionally, you can perform the installation including end-of-sale items. This option must only be used when you need to get the full set of items, including those that were already marked by the vendor as not for sale. This might be useful in backwards compatibility scenarios, where an exact match of the newly created service template is needed.

Once the Connect product has been installed on CloudBlue Commerce, a service template is automatically created containing the required resources, including those that correspond to the items that were created by the vendor in the CloudBlue Connect Vendor Portal.

The last step required to complete the configuration of your product in CloudBlue Commerce consists of the creation and configuration of the required service plans. For further information, refer to the Configuring Services for Selling section.

Note: If a new version of the product package is available you will be able to install the upgrade from the PCP by following the instructions in the CloudBlue Connect documentation.
