Google Cloud Connect 9.1 Release Notes

Introduction

This document describes the new features as well as benefits and limitations of Google Cloud CONNECT 9.1, and any call to action for our Partners.

New Features

Google Cloud CONNECT 9.1 aims to fill a gap identified in Google Cloud Platform's usage data collection process where previously, default Distributor and Reseller margins may have been applied to GCP services which don't offer margins, such as GCP Marketplace products.

The deployment of Google Cloud CONNECT 9.1 will resolve this inaccurate reflection of margins in usage data collected for invoicing purposes, and the CloudBlue Connect Processor will now be able to run queries against Google BigQuery Warehouse to identify offerings with 0% margins and flag them in order to ensure that the default margins are not applied to these particular offerings.

The anticipated date for deployment is September 16, 2022, and the usage data collection process is expected to run as per usual and generate invoices thereafter for all of CloudBlue's Google Cloud Pplatform Partners.

Limitations

No known limitations exist for this release.
