NCE Microsoft 365 and Software - CONNECT 27.0 Release Notes

Introduction

This document describes the new features, enhancements and known limitations of NCE Microsoft 365 and Software - CONNECT v27.0:

New Features

  • Suspend/resume capabilities are now supported by the NCE Commercial Connect product.

  • If BSS/OSS 21.8 is used, CloudBlue Commerce will send the auto-renewal status of subscriptions to Connect. For this reason, when a suspended subscription is resumed, it will maintain the same auto-renewal setting that the subscription had when it was active. However, in earlier BSS/OSS versions, the auto-renewal status is not communicated to Connect, so in such cases the auto-renewal will always be enabled for resumed subscriptions.

Note: In CloudBlue Commerce 21.7, billing will not be paused for suspended subscriptions to adapt to Microsoft's behavior for such scenarios. However, if an earlier version of CloudBlue Commerce is used, billing will be paused in CloudBlue Commerce for suspended subscriptions.

Enhancement

  • When suspending or resuming a subscription, the processor will now verify if the status of the subscription in Microsoft is the same as the subscription status in Connect before approving the request.

  • When resuming a subscription, if the status in Microsoft is already the same as the one the request is sending, the processor will also verify the auto-renewal property is the same in both systems.

  • When resuming a subscription, if the subscription is canceled in Microsoft, the request will be failed in Connect.

Fixed Issue

  • An issue was fixed where scheduled change orders were approved when the difference between the CloudBlue Commerce renewal date and the Microsoft renewal date was 24 hours or more. Now the processor will only process scheduled change order if the difference between both renewal dates is less than 24 hours.

Known Limitations

  • NCE Microsoft 365 to Non-Qualified Commercial Customers: Changing the NCE order billing cycle is not supported by CloudBlue. This has been added to CloudBlue's roadmap and can be tracked with the following Id: MAP-701.

  • NCE Microsoft 365 to Non-Qualified Commercial Customers: Downsizing or changing the billing cycle in upgrades is not supported by CloudBlue. This has been added to CloudBlue's roadmap and can be tracked with the following Id: MAP-701.

  • All Microsoft User-Based Products: End-User Management is not supported by CloudBlue. This has been added to CloudBlue's roadmap and can be tracked with the following Id: MAP-715.
