Limitations and Special Conditions
This version of the migration script has the following limitations and special conditions:
-
(Both migration modes) Migration of subscriptions that include software subscription licenses or perpetual software licenses is not supported.
-
(Both migration modes) Trial subscriptions are skipped by the migration script. We recommend that you either wait for them to expire or convert them into paid subscriptions.
-
(Both migration modes) Subscriptions that include resources other than Microsoft 365 CSP resources, such as DNS hosting resources or resources of other services, are skipped by the migration script. You must split such subscriptions into subscriptions that contain only Microsoft 365 CSP resources and subscriptions that contain other resources.
-
(Both migration modes) Subscriptions that include composite Microsoft 365 CSP resources that consist of two or more resources are skipped by the migration script. You must transform such subscriptions into subscriptions that do not contain composite Microsoft 365 CSP resources of that kind.
-
(Both migration modes) Only active subscriptions are taken into account by the migration script.
-
(Both migration modes) If you stop the execution of the migration script with Ctrl+C, it does not stop immediately and may seem unresponsive for a while. When stopped that way, the script first completes the processing of subscriptions whose migration is in progress, and only then stops its execution.
-
(Switch Plan Mode only) Subscriptions must include only one base Microsoft 365 CSP license and any number of add-on Microsoft 365 CSP licenses. Otherwise, they are skipped by the migration script.
-
(Switch Plan Mode only) This migration mode is not supported for CSP Connect Extension.
-
(New Subscription Mode only) When migrating Microsoft 365 CSP subscriptions of CSP Connect Extension, the script does not check whether the Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) was accepted by subscription owners.
