Managing Domains

Microsoft Online Management Extension allows the registration of domains ordered by end-customers through the customer, automating the ownership verification and DNS records configuration for the domain-bound services such as Exchange Online or Yammer.

Viewing Cloud Domains of a Customer Tenant

To view cloud domains of a customer tenant, complete these steps:

  1. Log in to your CloudBlue Commerce account.

  2. In the left menu, select Microsoft Online Management.

  3. Only if you logged in as a reseller or a provider selling directly to customers, click on a customer tenant in the list.

  4. Click the Domains tab.

As a result, the list of cloud domains will be displayed. For example:

Linking a CloudBlue Commerce Domain with its Cloud Domain

To link an existing CloudBlue Commerce domain with the appropriate cloud domain, complete these steps:

  1. Log in to your CloudBlue Commerce account.

  2. In the left menu, select Microsoft Online Management.

  3. Only if you logged in as s reseller or a provider selling directly to customers, select a customer tenant by clicking on it.

  4. Click the Domains tab.

  5. Click Link New Domain.

  6. Select the CloudBlue Commerce domain that you want to link with the appropriate cloud domain.

    Note: The appropriate cloud domain is automatically created if it does not exist. Otherwise, the existing cloud domain is used for linking.

  7. Select the Microsoft 365 services for which you want to create DNS records in the DNS zone of the CloudBlue Commerce domain.

  8. Click Link.

As a result, the CloudBlue Commerce domain and the appropriate cloud domain will be linked, and the necessary DNS records will be created for those Microsoft 365 services.

Notes:

- The verification DNS record will also be created.

- If a link operation fails due to some error, you can restart it by clicking Relink.

Managing a Cloud Domain

To manage a cloud domain that is linked with its CloudBlue Commerce domain, complete these steps:

  1. Log in to your CloudBlue Commerce account.

  2. In the left menu, select Microsoft Online Management.

  3. Only if you logged in as s reseller or a provider selling directly to customers, select a customer tenant by clicking on it.

  4. Click the Domains tab.

  5. For the cloud domain that you want to manage, click Manage.

  6. Select the Microsoft 365 services for which there must be DNS records in the DNS zone of the CloudBlue Commerce domain.

  7. Click Save.

As a result, the appropriate DNS records will be created or removed, depending on the Microsoft 365 services you chose.

Unlinking a CloudBlue Commerce Domain from its Cloud Domain

To unlink a CloudBlue Commerce domain from its cloud domain, complete these steps:

  1. Log in to your CloudBlue Commerce account.

  2. In the left menu, select Microsoft Online Management.

  3. Only if you logged in as s reseller or a provider selling directly to customers, select a customer tenant by clicking on it.

  4. Click the Domains tab.

  5. For the cloud domain that you want to unlink, click Unlink and confirm the operation.

As a result, the CloudBlue Commerce domain and the cloud domain will be unlinked, and the DNS records previously created for Microsoft 365 services will be removed from the DNS zone of the CloudBlue Commerce domain.

Note: The verification DNS record will not be removed.

Removing a Cloud Domain

To remove a cloud domain that is linked with its CloudBlue Commerce domain, complete these steps:

  1. Log in to your CloudBlue Commerce account.

  2. In the left menu, select Microsoft Online Management.

  3. Only if you logged in as s reseller or a provider selling directly to customers, select a customer tenant by clicking on it.

  4. Select the Domains tab.

  5. For the cloud domain that you want to remove, click Remove and confirm the operation.

As a result, the CloudBlue Commerce domain and the cloud domain will be unlinked, the DNS records previously created for Microsoft 365 services will be removed from the DNS zone of the CloudBlue Commerce domain, and the cloud domain will be removed from the Microsoft cloud.

Note: The verification DNS record will also be removed.
