Creating Delegated Service Templates and Plans for Resellers

This section explains how to create delegated service templates and service plans for resellers that will operate as provider's agents. Such resellers cannot change the profit margins and any other settings of the service templates and service plans that they resell.

The following are required:

1. Create a service template.
2. Create a service plan in Billing and delegate this plan via a "Reseller service template" plan to a CSP reseller.

A detailed description of each of the steps is provided below.

Creating a Service Template

1. In Provider Panel, go to Products > Service Templates.
2. Click Add New Service Template.
3. Specify the following:
   • Name – the name of the service template. For example: Azure Services.
   • Description – the description of the service template. This parameter is optional.
   • Autoprovisioning – it defines whether subscriptions based on the service template are auto-provisioned. Select the checkbox.
   • Type – it defines the type of the service template. Select Custom.
4. Click Next.
5. Include the following resource types:
   • Azure Application from the Azure Customer Resources subscription. The resource limit must be set to 1.
   • Azure Tenant from the Azure Customer Resources subscription. The resource limit must be set to 1.
   • Total Cost of Azure Services from the Azure Customer Resources subscription. The resource limit must be set to Unlimited.
6. Click Next.
7. Specify the resource limits: set Azure Application to 1, Azure Tenant to 1, and Total Cost of Azure Services to Unlimited.
8. Verify the settings and click Finish.

Note: Do not use this service template for subscribing your own customers. Otherwise, your customers will see incorrect prices in the online store.

Creating a Service Plan

Create a service plan in Billing and delegate this plan via a "Reseller service template" plan to a CSP reseller.

Note: You should only delegate this plan to resellers that were subscribed with the New Resellers Can Change Prices option deselected.

Now CSP resellers will be able to subscribe their customers via the delegated service plans. Note that customers who purchase Azure services based on this plan through the online store will not see the price list.
