Step 3. Enabling APS-Based Hardware Node Management

Note: The APS-based hardware node management is not available in Odin Automation 7.3.

To enable APS-based hardware node management, do the following:

  1. In OA Operations control panel, go to System > Settings > System Properties.
  2. Click Edit at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Find the Cloud Infrastructure Disable Hardware Management in Service Controller option and enable it.

This option switches Cloud Infrastructure Automation hardware node management from service controller to APS-based Cloud Infrastructure Automation component. After enabling this option, the process of Cloud Infrastructure Automation nodes registration and management is changed and done in Services > Cloud Infrastructure > Infrastructure. You will be able to register OpenVZ nodes in Cloud Infrastructure Automation. You will be able to manage your existing nodes in the new improved interface.

Important: The Cloud Infrastructure Disable Hardware Management in Service Controller option should be enabled for new Cloud Infrastructure Automation installations.

  4. On the management node, restart pa-agent and pau services:

    service pa-agent restart
    service pau restart
