Registering Application Templates via the Built-In Discovery Feature

The Cloud Infrastructure built-in discovery feature facilitates the process of registering application templates in Cloud Infrastructure Automation. To register a template using this feature:

1. In OA Operations control panel, go to Services > Cloud Infrastructure > Application Templates.
2. Click Discover Application Templates.
3. Click the name of the node, hosting the template you want to register.

4. The Cloud Infrastructure searches the node for and displays all application templates that meet all of the following requirements:

   • Are installed on the node.
   • Have not yet been registered in Cloud Infrastructure Automation.
   • Are compatible with the OS templates, already registered in Cloud Infrastructure Automation.

5. Once the list of templates is displayed, do the following:

   • To register a particular application template, click the name of this template. Review and, if necessary, configure the template parameters; then click Next.
   • To register several application templates at once, select them and click Register at the top of the page. You can additionally type a brief description of the template (for example, specify the template purpose).
6. Choose all nodes, where the template is installed (the current node is selected by default), and click Register.
7. If you are registering several templates, after the registration, you need to activate each of the templates to make them available to customers. Refer to the Activating Application Templates below for details.

Activating Application Templates

To activate an application template:

1. In OA Operations control panel, go to Services > Cloud Infrastructure > Application Templates in the Cloud Infrastructure group.
2. Select the template that you want to activate and click Make active.

Once the template is activated, the State column changes its status from Inactive to Active.
