Step 1. Set Up CI Endpoint Node

To set up a CI Endpoint node, do the following:

  1. Prepare a hardware node or a virtual machine with the following parameters:

    Server Name CIEND
Description Hosts the Cloud Infrastructure Automation APS backend.
    Quantity 1
    OS CentOS 7.x (x86_64)
    Software

To be installed by the provider:

    • OS only
    CPU 2 cores or more
    RAM 4 GB or more
    Disk At least 20 GB
NICs BackNet, FrontNet (make sure that the CI Endpoint node has access to external network to communicate with Plesk Key Administrator for provisioning Plesk licenses.
  2. Configure firewall rules according to the following table:

    From To Protocol Port
Instance Manager CI endpoint node TCP 4477
CloudBlue Commerce Management Node TCP 9000
CloudBlue Commerce Management Node TCP 8352
CI endpoint node Nameserver UDP 53
CloudBlue Commerce Management Node TCP 6308
CloudBlue Commerce Management Node TCP 8440
    Instance Manager TCP 4465
    Instance Manager TCP 61616
    ka.demo.plesk.com TCP 7050
  3. Register the newly prepared Endpoint node in the platform:
    1. In Operations PCP, go to Infrastructure > Service Nodes.
    2. Make sure that you select the Generic Linux Node role for the node and not the APS Endpoint Node role.
    3. Specify the hostname (or the IP address) and root credentials. Then, fill in the rest of the fields for the node network configuration.
    4. Go to Operations > Tasks and wait until all the node registration tasks are completed.
    5. Check that the new Endpoint node appeared in the list located in Infrastructure > Service Nodes.
  4. Assign the OACI Endpoint attribute to the CI Endpoint node.
  5. Add the CI Endpoint node IP address to /usr/local/share/PACI-im/IM-config.xml on the IM node when it is registered.
