In the application, Office 365 Recurring License resource types represent recurring licenses and are created based on license types (see Creating License Types for details). For your Office 365 application instance, for every recurring license that you are going to provide, you must create an Office 365 Recurring License resource type.
Important: You must create only one Office 365 Recurring License resource type per license type per application instance.
To create an Office 365 Recurring License resource type, perform the following actions:
- In the Provider Control Panel, go to Services > Applications and select the APS Connectors tab.
- In the list of applications, select the Office 365 application.
- Select the Resource Types tab.
- Click Create.
- In the list of resource classes, select the Application Service Reference resource class.

Specify the following parameters:
- Name: The name of this resource type.
- Description: (Optional) The description of this resource type.
Click Next.
- In the list of APS types, select the License APS type.
- In the list of instances, select the required license type instance.
- Check these resource type parameters carefully and click Finish.
For example, create the following Office 365 Recurring License resource type:
Office 365 Business Premium
- License type instance: Office 365 Business Premium
