Creating a SSL Certificate Service Plan

Certificates are issued in Billing via pluggable modules (plug-ins). Plug-ins are based on templates. Each plug-in template allows establishing connection to a particular CA. Plug-in template provides a set of services or certificate products, for example, Rapid SSL and Quick SSL certificates.

  1. Select a respective certificate plug-in, and certificate product. When done, click Next.

Note: if you have no SSL plug-ins registered, they can be configured via the respective link at Quick Setup Panel (to access it, click Home at the navigation path).

  2. Set the prices for each subscription period. To define domain plan price you need to specify:
    • Setup Fee - one-time fee for domain registration; collected after order placement.
    • Renew Fee - the fee for domain renewal; collected every subscription period.

Note: some fields may be disabled if registrar doesn't support those options.

  3. Set the billing terms for the plan:
    • Name. The name of the service plan you create.
    • Short summary. Short summary is used to describe the product in a few words - like "The best choice for business site hosting".
    • Change the service terms to use from the Service Terms list, if needed.
    • Optionally, change the Plan Category. Plan category defines taxation policy for service plan. It can also be used for grouping plans.
    • Optionally, change the preset notification at Notification About Service Provisioning. After successful provisioning, Billing will send customer an e-mail notification based on given template.
    • Use the Autorenewal list to renew the subscriptions to service plan automatically. This is a default setting that can be changed for each subscription individually. Define the number of days before expiration date, when the expiring subscription is to be renewed automatically, with the help of the Renew Point (days) field. This is a default value that can be changed for each subscription individually.
    • Change the notification template, if needed: click the lens icon next to the Notification Schedule field. From the window that opens, select a notification schedule to use. The notification schedule will be assigned to every subscription for all service plan subscription periods. If you specify individual notification schedule for a subscription period, service plan level notification schedule is ignored.
  4. Review the details of the plan to be created. If no corrections needed, click Finish.

Important: After you create a service plan, make them available for sale in UX1 Marketplace as well as the classic Customer Control Panel and the CloudBlue Commerce Online Store.
