- Specify the website configuration parameters.
In the WebSite Parameters area specify the IP Address type:
- IP Address type – From the drop-down list select the type of IP address for the website being created (Exclusive or Shared). Later you will be able to edit this parameter under Websites tab > [select required domain] > Select Web Hosting Settings > General tab > Edit button.
In the WebSite Configuration area:
- SSL support – Using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol allows to protect the information that a web browser and a web server exchange with each other. Using the secure SSL protocol is an industry standard for e-Commerce and online service websites, where visitors submit their credit card numbers and other sensitive data.
- CGI support – CGI (The Common Gateway Interface) is a way of connecting your web pages to other programs that are running on the server which visitors wouldn't normally have access to. Most corporate web sites on the Internet today make use of CGI programs or scripts to allow their visitors to browse online catalogs or keep track of their orders in real time.
- SSI support – Select this check box, if you want to enable SSI support on a website. Server Side Includes – is a method for dynamically generating WWW documents or parts of them. As the result, some information can be added to a Web page, such as the current date, the file's last modification date, and the size or the last modification of other files. In its more advanced usage, it can provide a powerful interface to CGI (Common Gate Interface – the most common way to create dynamic Web pages).
- PHP implementation – Select the respective PHP implementation which will be used on the website. The list of options contains all the available implementations of the PHP.
- Custom error docs support – ErrorDocs are Internet pages that are shown to user when some unforeseen error occurs while accessing the requested URL. You can give your website a more attractive and welcoming look, if you customize the ErrorDocs with the original messages stating the reason of an error or direct a user to a certain web page that will substitute the default error page.
- Webalizer Web Statistics – The Webalizer is a web server log analysis program designed for production of highly detailed usage reports. Such reports can be viewed and configured with a standard web browser. The Webalizer supports multiple languages.
- WAP support – The point of WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) is to show Internet contents on wireless clients, like mobile phones.
In the SSH Access Configuration area:
- Enable SSH-connections to this webspace – You can enable SSH access to your Apache Webspaces, if this is allowed by the terms of your subscription. SSH provides an alternative means of managing your site content, in addition to FTP and File Manager. The default permissions are the same: all operations are allowed (within the service root directory), except deleting CloudBlue Commerce system files and folders.
In the FTP Configuration area:
- FTP support – Select this check box to make the FTP available on your website.
FTP is a common method of moving files between two Internet sites. It is a way to log in to another Internet site for the purposes of retrieving and/or sending files. There are many Internet sites that have established publicly accessible repositories of material that can be obtained using FTP.
Specify and confirm the password for accessing FTP server. Enter a new password into the Password field. Or you can let CloudBlue Commerce create the password for you. In the latter case, click Generate and remember the generated password. You can also manage visibility of the characters in the Password field by clicking Show/Hide.
Note: The password strength indicator will help you to define whether the password is strong or weak.
Click Next.
- On this screen select resource for traffic and disk space and click Next.
- Select a check box whether you want to install AWStats on the domain to be created or not. If selected to install, enter the service access password. Click Next.
- Review the parameters you have entered for your domain (website). Click on the Finish button to create your website accordingly to these parameters.
