Creating Apache Website
To create Apache website, follow these steps:
- Select Websites tab at the top of the control panel. The list of your websites (if any) is displayed.
- Click Add New Website. If you do not have a domain yet, create a domain as described in the Adding Pure Domain section, or select an existing domain you would like to add Apache web hosting to. In this case you will be offered to create a sub-domain.
- On the Summary tab, in the Web Hosting area, click Add Hosting. For more details on adding web hosting, refer to the Adding Web or Mail Hosting to Pure Domain section.
- Select an Apache hosting service from the Hosting drop-down list.
- Select the subscription on which Apache hosting will be based from the Subscription drop-down list.
- The list of available subscriptions is filtered to those including Apache web hosting.
- The choice of a subscription determines the set of additional hosting services and resources available for the website.
- Set Webspace general parameters:
- Webspace – Select to attach the website being created to an existing Webspace. Otherwise, continue with Creating Apache Website on New Webspace.
- Location – Type the path to the directory where your website will be located.
Click on the Next button to continue.
Note: This step appears only if there is a webspace with no domains attached to. Basically it is skipped and new webspace is created automatically.
- Select a check box whether you want to install AWStats on the domain to be created or not. If selected to install, enter the service access password. Click Next.
- A domain creation summary window appears. Check the parameters and click Finish.
For further managing of the created website, refer to the Working with Website Tools section of this guide.
