Uploading SSL Certificate
To configure SSL connection to your Webspace which uses an Exclusive IP address, perform the following steps:
- Obtain an SSL Certificate and a Private key for it from the Certification Authority, or register a self-signed SSL Certificate. If necessary, upload them to User Repository. Detailed instructions are provided in section Configuring SSL Connection to Websites.
- Go to Websites, click the name of the desired domain. At the opened page click More Tools and then select SSL.
- Click Install Certificate and Enable SSL.
-
At the first screen of the wizard, indicate the type of location to install the Certificate from:
- Repository – use this option to install the SSL Certificate from your CloudBlue Commerce User Repository.
- File – use this option to install the SSL Certificate from a location on your computer.
- Clipboard – use this option to create a copy to the Certificate using the copy-paste mechanism (by pasting the Certificate and Private key strings into the provided fields).
-
Click Next. The displayed screen corresponds to the certificate location option you chose in the previous step.
- If you have chosen the Repository option on the previous step, select the desired Certificate from the list. The Private key for the Certificate will be installed automatically.
- If you have chosen the File option, click Browse and specify the paths to the SSL Certificate and the Private key files on your computer.
-
If you have chosen the Clipboard option, open your SSL Certificate and Private key files, copy the files content to clipboard and paste it into the Certificate and Private Key fields, correspondingly.
Click Next.
- Review the information about the Certificate and click Finish.
After SSL connection is configured, the full information about the SSL Certificate is displayed on the SSL tab.
New buttons are displayed:
- Install New Certificate – use this option if you wish to replace the current SSL Certificate with a new one.
- Install CA Certificate – use this option to install a CA Certificate (a special Certificate giving you a right to act as a Certification Authority yourself). For details on obtaining such a Certificate, contact the desired Certification Authority. To save the obtained CA Certificate to User Repository, perform the steps described in Uploading SSL Certificate to User Repository. To install a CA Certificate on the website, use the same procedure as described above.
- Disable SSL – use this option to disable SSL Connection to your website. Note that, even if SSL is disabled, the SSL settings and Certificate for the Webspace is still stored in CloudBlue Commerce. After SSL is re-enabled, the settings are restored.
To test the SSL connection, click on the SSL URL link provided on the page.
Important: If it is necessary to install CA certificates from the chain, the certificates must be separated by an empty line, that is, add two line breaks between CA certificates.
