Creating Application Hosting Service Template

Create a service template for Application Hosting, using the following instructions:

  1. Go to Products > Service Templates. The list of existing service templates opens.
  2. Click the Add New Service Template button.
  3. Specify the general parameters of the service template:
    • Name – The name of the service template.
    • Description – The description of the service template.
    • Autoprovisioning – Whether the subscription based on the service template is auto-provisioned (Yes/No).

Note: Applications having the enabled Provide Application on auto-generated domain activation parameter in their resource types are automatically provisioned by CloudBlue Commerce. In other cases, customers have to install applications from CCP.

    • Account-wide Services – Select the checkbox to create subscriptions with services in the account-wide mode. Leave the checkbox clear to create subscriptions with services in the subscription-local mode. To learn more about the account-wide and subscription-local modes of services, see Operations Provider's guide >> Managing Accounts > Operating Resellers and Customers > Managing Subscriptions > Making Subscription Services Account-Wide section.
    • Type – Select the Custom value from the drop-down list.

Click Next. The list of resource types opens.

  4. Select the resource types on the basis of the following resource classes:
    • Application Service Reference
    • Application Service
    • Application Counter

    Click Next.

  5. Specify the limits:
    • Amount of the application instances for every type of application included in the service template.
    • Total amount of application's backups per application included in the service template.
    • Total amount of application's service users per application included in the service template.
    • Amount of Application Services for every type of application included in the service template.
    • Amount of application resources for every type of application included in the service template.

    Click Next.

  6. Check the parameters of the service template and click Finish. The list of existing service templates reopens.
  7. Click the service template created. The General tab opens.
  8. Click the Activate button.

By now, the service template is ready and can be used for provisioning purposes.

Notes:

1. The service template may include the resource types, which correspond to applications of different provisioning types. For example, service template may contain one application that is provisioned to a Shared Database Server, and other application that is provisioned externally.

2. If an ability to install an application on customer domains is enabled, include the resource type for DNS Hosting into the service template.
