Configuring Customer CP Settings

CCP settings allow configuring the following:

  • Redirect settings allow associating pre-configured redirects with subscribe-to and upgrade-related buttons in Customer CP.
  • When expire settings define a number of days before service subscriptions and domain subscriptions get to the respective Expire Soon lists in Customer CP.
  • Period Change Settings define limitations on a customer's possibility to switch his service plans in Customer CP.
  • Tax Display Settings define the way taxes are displayed in Customer CP.
  • Balance Top Up settings enable deposits for a customer in their Customer CP.
  • UX1 On-Screen Notifications define the set of billing notifications that are visible to a customers in Customer CP.
  • Order Display Settings define the ability to display Billing orders.

To configure the Customer CP settings, open System > Settings > Customer CP and click Edit. The editing settings window is displayed.

Redirect Settings

Assign how the fields' names correspond to names of buttons in Customer CP:

  • To associate redirect with the New Subscription button in UX1 for Customers, click next to the New Subscription) field. Form the window that opens select the redirect.
  • To associate redirect with the Register New button in Customer CP, click next to the Register New Domain field. Form the window that opens select the redirect.
  • To associate redirect with the Transfer Existing button in Customer CP, click next to the Transfer Existing Domain field. Form the window that opens select the redirect.
  • To associate redirect with the Renew button in Customer CP, click next to the Renew Domain field. Form the window that opens select the redirect.

Important: Redirects must be configured using HTTPS.

When Expire Settings

  • Type an integer in the Expire Soon period for Subscription(days) field.
  • Type an integer in the Expire Soon period for Domains(days) field.

Period Change Settings

During Switch Plan

  • Denied: it's forbidden to change period during Plan Switch, a customer may choose only plans with the same period as in current subscription during Plan Switch.
  • Allowed: a customer may upgrade to any plan with changing period during Plan Switch.

New Subscription Period Start Date

  • Allow customer to select: A customer is allowed to select from which moment the period is considered started. Respective option on the 'Choose Period' step of the Upgrade wizard will be displayed to a customer.
  • Otherwise the option will not be available to customers and the value configured by the provider will be used without allowing customers to make their own choice:
    • Start Date of Current Subscription Period: when a service plan is changed to another one, the new subscription period is counted from the beginning of the old subscription period.
    • Date of Upgrade: when a service plan is changed to another one, the new subscription period starts on the date of the change.

During Renew Subscription

Customizes 'Subscription Renewal Period' section of the Renew Subscription wizard in Customer CP. With the help of this option, it is possible to limit existing subscription periods to which a customer can renew, thus allowing to renew him from current plan period only to certain periods. For that, select the Custom value and click Save; then at the Customer CP Settings screen click the Configure button to set up renew subscription periods.

Example: subscription was purchased for 1 year, and service plan allows to renew it to 6 months, 1 year and 2 years. You can limit existing renewal periods leaving only 1 and 2 years. For that you need to click Any Period next to 1 year period. In the window that opens, check only periods you want to allow.

During Switch Subscription Period

Defines whether the Subscription Periods option will be displayed to a customer on the Choose Period step of the upgrade wizard.

Tax Display Settings

The Display Rule option defines the way price and taxes are calculated and displayed in CCP. The following choices are available:

  • Always calculate and display prices with tax;
  • Display pre-tax prices but calculate and display taxes in order estimate and preview;
  • Display pre-tax prices and order estimate, calculate and display taxes only during final order preview.

Balance Top Up

Allow Standalone Payments in CCP

The option enables the customer's ability to recharge his balance.

The Min Top UpAmount and Max Top Up Amount options set the limits with which an Account Balance is recharged; can only be set when Allow Standalone Payments in Customer CP is enabled. Please note that the Auto Apply Credit option of Customer Class should be enabled to allow a customer to use existing payments to cover new invoices automatically.

UX1 On-Screen Notifications

The UX1 On-Screen Notifications Visibility option defines the set of Billing notifications that are displayed to customers in UX1. A provider can define the set of notifications that are displayed to customers in the control panel by choosing one of the following options:

  • All Billing Notifications Enabled. All Billing-related notifications are available in UX1. This option is used by default.
  • Only Invoices & Payments Notifications Disabled. Customers see notifications related to orders and subscriptions, but all notifications related to payments and invoices are hidden in UX1.
  • All Billing Notifications Disabled. All Billing notifications are hidden in UX1.

Order Display Settings

By default, customers only see invoices for the consumed services in the customer panel. Billing orders are not displayed. If you are using a customized order flow in Billing and you want to enable customers to pay for their billing orders from their UX1 panel, select the Display Billing Orders in UX1 checkbox.
