Creating a Domain Registration Service Plan
To create a domain registration plan:
- Select the TLDs to be sold with this service plan by moving them from Available to Selected group (you can narrow or extend the number of of TLDs in the Available list with the help of the Group drop-down list). Set the periods for which subscriptions to this plan are accepted at the Subscription Periods section. You can select the number of subscription periods to offer to your customers.
- Set the prices for each subscription period. To define domain plan price you need to specify:
- Setup Fee - one-time fee for domain registration; collected after order placement.
- Renew Fee - the fee for domain renewal; collected every subscription period.
- Transfer Fee - one-time fee for domain transfer; collected after order placement.
Note: some fields may be disabled if registrar doesn't support those options.
- Set the billing terms for the plan:
- Name. Billing will create a separate service plan for every TLD you choose. This name will be displayed only to administrators. If you delete %Zone% it will be added to the end of Plan Name automatically.
- Short summary. Short summary is used to describe the product in a few words.
- The Plan Category, Service Terms and Notification About Domain Registration fields are pre-configured.
- Publish the plan: include it into sales categories by marking the respective ones.
- Review the details of the plan to be created. If no corrections needed, click Finish.
On the Technical Properties tab of the created domain service plan you can select Popular TLD check box to make UX1 Marketplace and UX1 for Customers search for available domain names by default in this domain zone.
That is, when a customer searches for a domain name in UX1 Marketplace or UX1 for Customers, they will get the results in the following way:
- The FQDN searched by the customer – in the first row.
- A list of FQDNs in TLDs that have the Popular TLD attribute – in the next rows.
Important: After you create the necessary service plans, make them available for sale in UX1 Marketplace as well as the classic Customer and Reseller Control Panels.
