Introduction

The Taxation Management component is a CloudBlue Commerce component. This component is responsible for calculating taxes on purchases made through CloudBlue Commerce.

Important:

1. The Taxation Management component is the future replacement for the tax calculation functionalities provided by the BSS component. In this version, the component supports only tax calculation with AvaTax, an external tax calculation service; internal tax calculation and tax calculation with EZTax or Vertex are performed by the BSS component regardless of whether the Taxation Management component is deployed and enabled or not.

2. After you deploy the Taxation Management component, it will be used for tax calculation instead of the BSS component (for AvaTax only).
