Configuring "Plesk in VPS (Plus Plesk Add-Ons)" Sales Model
Let's assume your customer has purchased a VPS with Plesk. The customer may need to install some additional services, which require additional license. You as a provider can configure which upsell scenarios will be available for the customer.
Note: After Plesk upsell, the currently used license is replaced with the new one, therefore if a customer uses his or her own license, he or she should write down the key for preserving it.
Preliminarily, you should have already configured "Plesk in VPS" Sales Model.
To configure scenarios for buying Plesk add-on licenses, do the following:
- Register PVPS KA License resources in CloudBlue Commerce. It is recommended to create PVPS KA License resource so that it represents a single additional license (no bundle licenses, no main licenses).
- Add the PVPS KA License resource with the Limit = 0 to the service template. The resource will be automatically propagated to Billing.
- In Billing control panel, include the PVPS KA License resources in any separate resource category except Plesk configuration resource category.
- Add the PVPS KA License resource with the Included Amount = 0 and Maximum Amount = 1 to the "Plesk in VPS" service plan. Define the Recurring Fee for the resource.
Important: If you are going to sell Plesk add-ons in CCP v1, then you should add the PVPS KA License resources to a separate sales category.
If you want to enable Plesk upsell scenario in your online store, you need to update vps templates in the online store. For more details, see the instructions here.
