Creating Plesk Configuration
Plesk configuration is a template that will be used for automated installation of Plesk in VPS. This template defines Plesk version, edition, a set of Plesk components to be installed, and specifies the operations that a customer can perform with Plesk in CCP. There are default Plesk configurations for your convenience. You can use them or create your own Plesk configurations.
To create a new Plesk configuration:
- In Operations control panel, go to Services > Cloud Infrastructure > Plesk in VPS > Plesk Configurations, and click Create New Configuration.
- Select the operating system (Linux or Windows), Plesk major version, and Plesk edition: Web Admin, Web App, Web Pro, Web Host.
- In the Plesk CP URL, specify the domain name if needed. To define an internationalized domain name (IDNA), use Punycode format that can be converted to IDNA (see RFC4185).
- Specify the following:
- Plesk components to be installed
- How license will be installed – automatically or manually
- Product configuration to be associated with the current Plesk configuration
- Pre- and post-installation scripts to be performed before or after Plesk installation
- Customer permissions to perform different operations with Plesk in CCP
- How micro updates will be installed – automatically or manually
- DNS zone propagation to be enabled or not
All these settings are described in more details in separate subsections below.
- In the Name & description group, specify the name and description for the new Plesk configuration.
- Click Save Changes.
