Configuring Server Network Parameters
In CloudBlue Commerce control panel, you can configure the current network parameters of a server by doing the following:
- On the Home tab, under More Services, click Cloud Infrastructure.
- In the list of available servers, click the name of the server whose network parameters you want to configure.
- Click Configure Network.
- Under Custom hostname, do one of the following:
- Select the Specify custom hostname check box and type a hostname for the server in the field provided.
- Clear the Specify custom hostname check box to set the hostname to that of the server name.
For more information on setting custom hostnames, see the Specify custom hostname description in the Creating Servers section.
- In the Bandwidth field, choose the bandwidth rate, in kilobits per second, for the server. This bandwidth limit is applied to outgoing traffic only.
- In the Register in domain field, specify the domain to join the server to. This field is shown only if your subscription contains the DNS hosting resource and you registered at least one domain in the subscription.
- Select the Allow to configure the network settings from within the server option to have the possibility to configure all network settings, except for IP addresses, from within the server. If you leave this option unselected, Cloud Infrastructure will automatically assign all network settings to the server.
Currently, this option is supported for
- Linux virtual machines and containers
- Windows virtual machines
- Configure the IP addresses assigned to the server:
- Use the Add IPv4 address and Add IPv6 address buttons to assign the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses to the server.
- Select the check boxes next to the IP addresses to delete them, and click Delete. Confirm your decision by clicking OK in the dialog box that opens.
- Click Save Changes to save the new network parameters for the server.
