Adobe Connect 12.2.0 Release Notes
Introduction
This document describes the new features in Adobe Connect v12.2.0:
New Features
-
CBPFR-1955. We have enhanced the error messages displayed across CloudBlue interfaces and APIs when communicating with Adobe, including the Adobe EaaS Connector, Multi-Account Extensions, and CloudBlue Commerce ordering screens. Instead of displaying cryptic vendor API codes or leaving orders stuck in a silent, indefinite synchronizing status, the system now translates Adobe-specific errors into clear, actionable advice. For example, issues such as mismatched reseller relationships, inactive SKUs, or pending external transactions are proactively identified and presented to partners with clear instructions on how to resolve them or when to contact customer support, significantly improving self-service capabilities and reducing diagnostic delays.
-
CAD-2535. We have updated the Adobe integration to support the application and validation of flexible discounts during early renewal transactions. This enhancement ensures that partners can easily apply eligible discount campaigns to early renewals, maximizing cost-efficiency and promotional benefit when managing their Adobe subscriptions.
-
CAD-2571. To ensure accurate catalog currency selection for partners in Great Britain (GB), we have adjusted the offer switch path discovery logic within the Adobe Connector. This update implements a temporary mechanism using language parameters—passing EN to retrieve British Pound (GBP)-denominated offer IDs and MULT to retrieve Euro (EUR)-denominated offer IDs. This refinement prevents currency mismatch errors during product tier upgrades or switch path evaluations while backward compatibility is preserved for future explicit currency parameters from Adobe.
-
CBPFR-2458. CloudBlue Commerce now features a dedicated Adobe Subscriptions Renewal Management interface in UX1, giving resellers independent visibility and control over active seat counts and upcoming renewal quantities. Unlike traditional scheduled orders, updating renewal settings through this new tool eliminates subscription locking, allowing you to process immediate mid-term updates, upsizes, or returns at any point during the term. The streamlined interface supports both single and bulk edits for renewal quantities, auto-renew toggles, and promotional discount codes with real-time status validation from Adobe—plus the ability to search, add, and co-term new Adobe products during the customer’s standard renewal window (30 to 3 days prior to their anniversary date). For additional information, see Adobe Subscription Renewal Management Interface.
Enhancements
-
CAD-2563. We have introduced several usability and design enhancements to the subscription renewal management interface to improve clarity and simplify navigation. These updates include replacing vague text indicators with explicit open and close dates for renewal windows, consolidating row action buttons into a clean, unified actions menu, and adding a read-only column to track early renewed quantities. Additionally, the renewal date is now fully formatted in a standard date layout, subscription identifiers have been shortened and renamed for improved spacing, and column type values are now represented by concise acronyms with informative full-name tooltips.
Fixed Issues
-
CAD-2533. We have resolved an issue where fulfillment requests could become stuck or fail with a validation error during processing when the optional Adobe approval code parameter was empty.
-
CAD-2534. We have corrected a synchronization bug that caused renewal quantities to be unexpectedly rolled back to their prior values during active renewal requests. This fix ensures that any requested downsized quantities are correctly preserved and submitted to Adobe, preventing unintended quantity adjustments or mismatched subscription records between systems.
-
CAD-2528. We have resolved an issue where order change requests for upsell promotions or adding seats would fail with an error stating that flexible discounts cannot be applied when auto-renewal is disabled.
-
CAD-2530. We have fixed a bug where modifying the auto-renewal configuration during a product switch or revert switch operation caused subscription synchronization discrepancies between CloudBlue and Adobe. The connector now correctly aligns and synchronizes auto-renewal statuses across all transition operations, keeping partner subscriptions consistent and up to date.
-
CAD-2537. We have fixed an issue where valid reusable flexible discounts were rejected on subsequent orders with errors indicating the discount code was inactive. The connector now properly validates and allows eligible reusable discount codes to be applied to existing subscriptions, ensuring partners can consistently leverage authorized promotion agreements on subsequent transactions.
-
CAD-2551. We have resolved a timeout issue in the draft validation process that occurred when retrieving and auto-discovering exceptionally large lists of discounts.
-
CAD-2549. We have fixed a defect that prevented scheduled subscriptions from being updated prior to their execution.
-
CAD-2554. We have resolved an issue where scheduled orders failed to create a subscription if an inactive or terminated subscription for the same SKU already existed under the customer account.
-
CAD-2553. We have corrected an error-handling issue where fulfillment requests would hang indefinitely if the API client failed to initialize properly. The system now robustly detects initialization failures, registers the error, and transitions the request to a failed status with appropriate diagnostic details instead of leaving the transaction stalled.
-
CAD-2550. We have fixed a bug where the Adobe API error code 3123 was not being properly translated into a user-friendly message. The connector now correctly intercepts this code and displays a clear message indicating that the selected product is no longer available from the vendor, guiding partners to select an alternative SKU from the catalog.
-
CAD-2547. We have fixed a synchronization issue where attempts to sync renewal quantities would fail with an error stating that Adobe subscriptions cannot be renewed. This update corrects the underlying check, allowing automated quantity updates and renewal schedules to sync seamlessly without encountering artificial blockages.
-
CAD-2556. We have resolved an issue where disabling auto-renewal on a subscription incorrectly reset the renewal quantity to match the current quantity. This update ensures that requested renewal quantities and auto-renewal states are accurately preserved and synchronized with Adobe, preventing discrepancies between systems during renewal modifications.
-
CAD-2555. We have corrected a bug where subscription renewal orders were mistakenly discarded during processing due to the anniversary filter anchoring on a date that shifts. The filtering logic has been stabilized to correctly track and anchor subscription anniversary milestones, ensuring all valid renewals are correctly captured and processed.
-
CAD-2529. We have resolved a bug where placing an upsize order on an active promotional subscription failed to auto-discover and apply the associated promotional discount, causing the additional seats to be billed at standard prices. The connector has been corrected to dynamically identify and maintain active promotional discounts on upgrade orders, ensuring consistent contract pricing for upsell transactions.
-
CAD-2560. Customers can now successfully complete early renewals for Adobe VIP Marketplace products up to their current unrenewed license quantities without encountering validation errors. Previously, a desynchronization between subscription data and connector validation caused valid early renewal attempts to fail unexpectedly.
-
CAD-2561. We have fixed an issue in the Renewal Quantity Management interface where users were unable to remove newly added Adobe subscriptions when promotional or flexible discounts were active.
-
CAD-2562. We have fixed a defect where attempting to return or cancel an early renewal order queried an incorrect historical Adobe Order ID instead of the specific order being reverted. The return processor now accurately maps and queries the corresponding early renewal order ID, allowing cancellation and return drafts to complete successfully.
