Azure NCE CONNECT 4.4 Release Notes

Introduction

This document describes the new features, enhancements, fixed issues and known limitations of Azure NCE CONNECT v4.4

New Features

Azure NCE CONNECT 4.4 introduced the following new features:

  • Partner attestation is no longer required for Direct billed partners when selling services to their end customers.

  • A new button has been added in UX1 to allow partners to access Azure portal (https://portal.azure.com/).

  • The connector now supports a custom inquiring template that can be configured at marketplace level to allow distributors to provide customized messaging or translation for the template.

  • The connector now supports retrieving both first-party and third party invoices for certain marketplaces.

Enhancements

  • The connector has been optimized to save time and avoid overloading Connect API when collecting Microsoft invoices.

  • Certain Connect RQLs have been updated to remove unused properties from the response in order to optimize performance.

  • New exception codes have been included to indicate that relationship roles have been removed.

Fixed Issues

  • Filter parameters are no longer used in the main request for obtaining pending requests in order to avoid Connect timeout errors.

  • The duplicate import validation has been updated to use the new unique uid format (azure_plan:entitlement_id).

Known Limitations

  • If Microsoft generates invoices on a date later than the date when the usage was generated, a new usage report will not be automatically generated so that it can be included in the invoice.
