Azure NCE CONNECT 2.16 Release Notes

Introduction

This document describes the new features and enhancements in Azure NCE CONNECT v2.16:

New Features

  • Action Required: The new commerce daily rated usage v2 API will soon be used by the usage processor and to implement this change a new API permission (PartnerBilling.Read.All) must be added on the Azure client application.

This is a breaking change, so all partners are required to add this permission following the instructions provided in the documentation.

  • Updated on June 24, 2024: Credentials and the refresh tokens are now managed through the Microsoft Management extension, which allows you to easily manage all the credentials from a single location. Credentials currently configured in configuration parameters with marketplace scope will be automatically migrated to the Microsoft Management extension. For additional details, see this announcement and the Microsoft Management extension documentation.

  • Updated on July 19, 2024. A new configuration parameter is available (seamless_move_enabled), which allows distributors to opt out of Seamless Move for Azure NCE. For additional details, see the Configuring Parameters section.

Enhancements

  • COAD-4374.
    • A persistent GUID is now generated for user validation to prevent it from changing across different sessions for a given reseller, customer and subscription.

    • The Telemetry Observer version has been updated.
