FAQs for Resellers

Do resellers need a Google partner account to place orders from CloudBlue Marketplace?

Yes, it is necessary to be registered as a Google reseller to place orders from the CloudBlue Marketplace. When doing so, resellers will need to enter their Cloud domain Id and accept the Channel Partner link before the first order can be processed.

Is it possible to transfer an existing subscription of a reseller in the Marketplace?

Yes, this is possible by selecting the Existing account option in the Purchase Type field when placing the order.

How can I check the customer account details when transferring an account? What is the Transfer Check Tool?

The Transfer Check tool allows resellers to see the subscriptions of a particular account before completing an account transfer. Using the Transfer Check tool before transferring an account is recommended, as resellers will obtain the list of subscriptions that will need to be purchased for the transfer to be completed successfully. One order will need to created for each of the subscriptions in the list.

For additional information, please see the following article: How to Check Google Accounts before Transferring.

Can a subscription be transferred from one reseller to another?

No, transferring subscriptions from one reseller to another is not supported by Google API. To do this, the customer account should be transferred to Google by the previous reseller and once that is completed, the new reseller will be able to transfer the customer.

What happens when a cancellation order is placed for a customer subscription?

When the cancellation request is placed and the subscription to be canceled is the only subscription in the account, the subscription entitlement is canceled and the customer account is transferred to Google.

How can I purchase customer-specific offers instead of generic marketplace-wide offers?

To purchase customer-specific offers, resellers can enter a Custom Offer ID during the purchase process. When providing this ID, each customer can access tailored offers with unique discounts and pricing. If no custom offer ID is provided, the connector will attempt to automatically locate a matching offer ID from the general catalog in Connect, based on the product being purchased. If no matching offer ID is found in Connect, the connector will prompt the user to manually enter a custom offer ID.

Note: The Custom Offer ID must be previously obtained from Google. For additional information, refer to the Google documentation.
