Requirements

Before starting the migration, ensure that the requirements in this section are met.

Component Requirements

• Migration in New Subscription Mode

  • CloudBlue Commerce:

    • 20.5

    • 21.5 or later

  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) 1.2-1434 or laters

• Migration in Switch Plan Mode

  • CloudBlue Commerce:

    • 21.5 or later: This version is required to migrate Microsoft 365 CSP subscriptions that do not include add-on licenses.

    • 21.6 or later: This version is required to migrate Microsoft 365 CSP subscriptions that include add-on licenses by using the count and do-not-count migration programs for migration orders. To learn more about the migration programs of migration orders, see Performing the Migration.

    • 21.7 or later: This version is required to migrate Microsoft 365 CSP subscriptions that include add-on licenses by using the prorate migration program for migration orders. To learn more about the migration programs of migration orders, see Performing the Migration.

  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) 1.2-1434 or later

  • Rating Engine 1.8-2965 or later

  • Order Management 1.5.420 or later

Application and Extension Requirements

One of these applications and extensions must be installed:

• Microsoft 365 20.3.2-41 or later

• O365_APS2 6.2-1389 or later

• CSP Connect Extension 39.0 or later

Server Requirements

The server that will be used for running the migration script can be a physical or virtual server and must meet the following requirements:

• The recommended resource requirements for that server:

  • CPU: 4 cores or more

  • RAM: 16 GB or more

  • Free disk space: 200 GB or more

    Note: That disk space is necessary to store the migration script's log files. The script may produce several gigabytes of log files per day.

• poaupdater is installed on that server. The version of poaupdater corresponds to the version of your CloudBlue Commerce installation.

• Connections from that server to the OSS XML-RPC, BSS XML-RPC, and APS REST APIs are allowed.

• Connections from that server to the oss database are allowed.

  Note: The migration script must have the ability to read records of the tm_tasks table.

• Python 2.7.5 or a later 2.7.x version is installed on that server.

• The following Python modules are installed on that server:

  • requests

  • paramiko

  • dateutil

Notes:

- For CloudBlue Commerce 20.5, you can use your existing management node if it has enough resources. Also, you can prepare a separate server as described in Appendix A: Preparing a Server to Run the Migration Script for a CloudBlue Commerce 20.5 Installation.

- For CloudBlue Commerce 21.0 or later, you can use your old management node if it has enough resources. Also, you can prepare a separate server as described in Appendix B: Preparing a Server to Run the Migration Script for a CloudBlue Commerce 21.0 Installation.
