Managing Domain Data Conflicts Manually

You can manage domain data conflicts between CloudBlue Commerce and registrar's system manually in the following way:

A. Resolving a domain data conflict manually

To resolve a conflict in the Needs attention status:

Note: See Conflict Statuses for information about the possible statuses and their differences.

  1. Go to the list of domain status conflicts as described in Viewing Domain Data Conflicts in CloudBlue Commerce.
  2. Click the conflict in the list. The conflict information is displayed.
  3. Resolve the conflict in one of these ways:

    • For conflict code 102 only:

Note: When conflict code 102 is returned, the Synchronize to Registrar button appears alongside the Mark as Resolved and Cancel Subscription buttons on the conflict details page.

      • Option 1: Go to Operations > Subscriptions. Click the necessary subscription and change its Auto-Renewal settings. For more information refer to CloudBlue Commerce Billing Provider's Guide.
      • Option 2: Go to Services > Domains. Click the necessary domain and change its Auto-Renewal settings. For more information refer to CloudBlue Commerce Billing Provider's Guide.
      • Option 3: Press Synchronize to Registrar. CloudBlue Commerce compares the domain subscription statuses in CloudBlue Commerce and registrar's system synchronously and manages the conflict in the following way:
        • If the statuses are the same, CloudBlue Commerce marks the conflict as Resolved.
        • If the statuses are different, CloudBlue Commerce sends an asynchronous request to the registrar asking to resolve the conflict. The conflict status temporarily changes to Processing. The buttons Mark as Resolved and Cancel Subscription (see below) temporarily disappear from the conflict view. When CloudBlue Commerce receives a reply from the registrar, CloudBlue Commerce marks the conflict either as Resolved or as Needs attention depending on the reply. Then the buttons Mark as Resolved (or Mark as Unresolved, depending on the resulting conflict status) and Cancel Subscription reappear on the conflict details page.
    • For all conflict codes:

Note: If the conflict remains in the Needs attention status, you can resolve it in one of the ways below.

      • Option 1: Press Mark as Resolved if you want to resolve the status conflict but do not want to cancel the subscription. The conflict remains in the list with the Resolved manually status.
      • Option 2: Press Cancel Subscription if you want to resolve the status conflict by canceling the subscription. See Canceling Subscription to Domain with Conflict.
  4. Press Close to quit the view.

B. Returning a resolved conflict to the Unresolved status manually

To return a resolved conflict to the Needs attention status:

  1. Go to the list of domain status conflicts as described in Viewing Domain Data Conflicts in CloudBlue Commerce.
  2. Click the conflict in the list. The conflict information is displayed.
  3. Press Mark as Unresolved. The conflict is displayed in the list with the Needs attention conflict code. For more information on domain conflict codes see Domain Conflict Codes.
