Configuring Service Offers

After an application instance is created, you need to configure an offer for the service this application provides. This can be done within PCM in Init mode if the application was designed to support this wizard.

To launch the PCM, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Operations control panel, go to Services > Applications and click the required application name in the APS Connectors tab.
  2. Click Configure Product.
  3. At the Application Instance Selection step, open the application instance list and select an application that you want to configure the offer for.
    • To go through all the wizard steps, select the Run wizard and go through all configuration steps option. Click Next.
    • To import a configuration from the other product instance, select Import configuration. Follow the instructions.
    • To extract a vendor's configuration from a vendor's system, select Extract vendor's configuration. Follow the instructions.

Note: When you apply a vendor's configuration, resource MPNs are imported among the data from CloudBlue Connect or other connectors. To view resource MPNs, go to Billing > Products > Resources. The MPN can also be viewed in the resource profile.

  4. At the Application Instance Settings step, configure settings (these vary depending on the application) and proceed by clicking Next.
  5. At the Service Profiles step, define which service profiles specify the high-level scope for creating service templates. In other words, the service profile is an entity that stores a set of parameters used to define a product on the vendor's side for provisioning of the required resources.

Add or remove the necessary service profiles and click Next.

  6. At the Reseller Profiles step, configure a default provisioning configuration of the application for resellers. Resellers will be able to override these settings by modifying the respective Service Template in the Reseller Control Panel (at the Application Configuration tab).

    Click Next.

  7. At the Service Template step, check the service template settings. You can change the following settings:
    • Names of service templates, resource types and resources.
    • Sets of resources to be included into a service template and limits of those resources.

    When finished, click Next.

  8. At the Billing Configuration step, check and update the Plan, Sales and Resource categories for a service plan. Here you can also define the service plan's visibility and appearance settings.

    Click Next.

  9. At the Service Plans step, revise the service plans to be created. To view or edit configuration of a service plan, click its name in the list.

You can also add or remove a service plan here.

    Click Next.

  10. At the Summary step, carefully review all the settings of the prepared offer and click Finish.

As a result, all necessary resource types, service templates, service plans, and categories are created.
