The platform allows APS applications to integrate into the following mechanisms of event and notification management.
APS Events is a flexible way for an APS application to subscribe to events that can be triggered in the platform or in the integrated services, in order to process those events by the application’s handler. When an event occurs, an APS application handler can do any operations allowed on the APS bus and in the original cloud application, for example, notify the account staff and service users (using on-screen notifications), create, update, or delete APS resources and so on.
Mail Notifications is a built-in mechanism to notify users by email based on certain email templates. An APS application can register its own message types and trigger email notifications for some events, for example, it can notify the subscribed users about new subscriptions.
