Migrating Data
Migration includes the following steps.
- Step 1. Connect a source system. In this step, you specify the information for connecting to the source servers. The Migration Manager connects to the source servers and installs a migration agent on all source nodes, which gathers information about the accounts and subscriptions in the source hosting platform.
- Step 2. Plan migration. In this step, you select the source platform, the objects to migrate, and configure the mapping of service plans.
- Step 3. Perform migration. In this step, you select the type of migration to perform (full migration in test or production mode, or takeover - for shared hosting accounts), and start the migration process. Before starting a migration, you can run a series of pre-migration checks to ensure that migration can be carried out successfully.
- Step 4. Review the migration results, resolve any issues, and notify the affected users.
