Configuring Service Templates and Service Plans
Before migrating VPSes to Odin Automation, you need to configure service templates and service plans in Odin Automation:
- Retrieve a list of operating system templates available at the Virtuozzo server and register them in Odin Automation:
Go to Services > Cloud Infrastructure > Virtualization Nodes > <host name of your Virtuozzo server> > OS Templates tab > Discover OS Templates.
- Create a virtual server template:
- Go to Services > Cloud Infrastructure > Virtual Server Templates > Create new template.
- Under Base Value, specify the same amounts of resources as on the source VPS: the number of CPU cores, CPU core speed, disk space, RAM, number of IPv4, and IPv6 addresses. In the Disk Space row, select Local Storage from the menu in the Options column. Click Next.
- Select the operating system template that is used by the source VPSes. Click Next, Next, and Finish.
- Create a service template:
- Go to Products > Service Templates > Add New Service Template.
- Specify a name and select the type: OACI VPS. Click Next.
- Select the virtual server template that you created in step 2.
- Under Server Size, specify the configuration of the VPS. Click Next.
- Specify the bandwidth limits and the number of IP addresses. Click Next.
- In the step Select Plesk configurations, do not select anything. Leave all checkboxes cleared. Click Next.
- Specify the amount of disk space that can be occupied by backups and select a backup schedule. Click Next.
- Select Default VPS UI Policy. Click Finish.
- Create a service plan based on the service template. Service plans specify the billing settings, such as subscription period and pricing. You need to set up service plans only if you are using Odin Automation with the Billing component. To create a service plan:
- Go to Billing > Products > Service Plans > Add New Service Plan.
- Select VPS Hosting Service Plan. Click Next.
- Select the service template that you created in step 3. Click Next.
- Specify the billing terms. Click Next.
- Specify subscription periods. Click Next.
- In the Inc. Amount column, specify the same amounts of resources as are already provided to VPS in the OBAS source system. In the Show in Store column, clear all checkboxes. Click Next.
- Under Plan Settings, clear the Published checkbox and leave all checkboxes cleared under Inclusion into Sales Category, if you do not want customers visiting your online store to be able to subscribe to this plan.
- Click Next and then click Finish.
