What Happens During Migration

  1. The migration tool checks whether license keys are installed, source and destination hosts are accessible, and service plans are compatible.
  2. Information about subscriptions and hosting settings is retrieved from the source Windows Shared Hosting module: FTP users, ASP.Net settings, PHP settings, database settings, IP addresses, virtual directories, application settings, and SSL settings.
  3. Corresponding subscriptions are created in Billing and in the target WebHosting Plesk module. Subscriptions are activated and their status is set to "ordered".
  4. The data of subscriptions are imported to WebHosting Plesk:
    1. DNS records are switched off in Windows Shared Hosting.
    2. Websites are created in WebHosting Plesk.
    3. DNS records are switched off in WebHosting Plesk.
    4. DNS records are switched on in Windows Shared Hosting.
    5. Hosting settings are recreated.
    6. Database servers and databases are registered in WebHosting Plesk.
    7. FTP users are imported.
    8. SSL certificates are imported.
  5. The content of websites is transferred.
  6. Database users are registered in Plesk.
  7. Resource usage statistics are updated in WebHosting Plesk.
