  2. Select Products > NCE Azure.

  3. Select Configuration.

  4. Set the seamless_move_enabled parameter to Enabled or Disabled.

  5. Save and exit.

Note: This change will have immediate effect in production.

How To Use Seamless Move for Microsoft Azure

Importing Multiple Subscriptions as a Reseller

Seamless Move allows you import all the customer's subscriptions at once or just some of them. To do this, you just need to enter the customer ID and the corresponding Microsoft domain. Then, all the customer's subscriptions will be listed and you will be able to import all of them at once or select just the ones that you need to import.

To import multiple subscriptions, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to the UX1 control panel as a reseller and click Seamless Move > Azure. This will take you to the Import tab.

Important: If you are importing subscriptions that are part of a transfer from a different partner, it is important to do it from the Transfers tab. The subscriptions that are part of a transfer from a different partner will only be prorated if they are imported from the Transfers tab.

  2. Fill in the following fields:

    • Customer ID: Select the CloudBlue Commerce customer account where the subscriptions will be imported.

    • Microsoft Domain: Microsoft domain name of the subscription to be imported.

Note: The Microsoft Entitlement ID field must not be filled in when importing multiple subscriptions.

  3. To import additional Azure subscriptions, click Add more and repeat step 2.

  4. Select the checkboxes corresponding to the subscriptions that you need to import. You can select all the subscriptions at once by clicking the checkbox at the top. In the example below only one subscription was found.

  5. Review the service plan that will be assigned to each selected subscription. If there is no service plan available for the subscription, it will not be possible to import it. In that case, the subscription will have a background color and it will be disabled.

If several service plans are found, you must choose one of them before proceeding with the import. In this case, the service plans found will be displayed in a drop-down list in the Plan column. Choose one of the plans to continue.

  6. If any Order Attributes are required, you will be able to configure them with the corresponding values.

Note: The Order Attributes in CloudBlue Commerce must have been added previously to the Generic Seamless Move extension. See the Configuring Order Attributes in Seamless Move section for additional information.

  7. Click Import to start the process. If the migration order is completed successfully, a pop-up message with the migration order number will be displayed.

Importing Subscriptions that are Part of a Transfer from a Different CSP Partner

Important prerequisite: Role-based access control (RBAC) will not be transferred and Admin on behalf of (AOBO) will not be granted by default to the future partner. For this reason, it is highly advisable to ensure that the customer has an active GDAP relationship with the new partner, as well as any required RBAC to their Azure subscriptions before the transfer is completed. For additional information, refer to Microsoft's documentation.

You can use Seamless Move to import subscriptions that are part of a transfer from a different partner by providing the Microsoft Transfer ID. The transfer process needs to be completed in the Microsoft Partner Center before proceeding with the import in Seamless Move. For more details, see Microsoft's documentation.

Once you have obtained the transfer ID, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to the UX1 control panel as a provider or reseller, click Seamless Move > Azure and then click the Transfers tab.

  2. Fill in the following fields:

    • Reseller ID: Enter the reseller ID.

Note: This field will only be visible if you logged in as a provider.

    • Customer ID: Select the CloudBlue Commerce customer account where the subscriptions will be imported.

    • Microsoft domain name: Microsoft domain name of the subscriptions to be imported.

    • Microsoft Transfer ID: Transfer ID required to import the subscriptions, which you can find in the Microsoft Partner Center.

  3. Review the details of the subscriptions meeting the transfer eligibility criteria for the selected tenant. Then, select the subscriptions to be imported and click Next.

Note: In the Auto-renew column, you can see the auto-renewal status of the subscriptions that will be transferred. Subscriptions can be transferred regardless of the auto-renewal status (enabled or disabled).

  4. Review the service plan that will be assigned to each selected subscription. If there is no service plan available for the subscription, it will not be possible to transfer it. In that case, the subscription will have a background color and it will be disabled.

If an SKU is found in several service plans, you must choose one of them before proceeding with the import. In that case, the service plans found will be displayed in a drop-down list in the Plan column. If necessary, choose one of the plans to continue.

  5. If any Order Attributes are required, you will be able to configure them with the corresponding values.

Note: The Order Attributes in CloudBlue Commerce must have been added previously to the Generic Seamless Move extension. See the Configuring Order Attributes in Seamless Move section for additional information.

  6. Click Import and then specify when a billing order will be created for the imported subscriptions: in the current billing period or in the next billing period.

Note: The option to select when the billing order will be created will not be displayed to indirect resellers. The billing order will always be created in the current billing period for indirect resellers.

  7. Click Import to start the process. If the migration order is completed successfully, a pop-up message with the migration order number will be displayed.
