Distributor Opt In/Out of Seamless Move

A Microsoft Direct Billed Provider (Distributor) using CloudBlue Dedicated SaaS Commerce or CloudBlue On-Premises Commerce may opt-out of allowing Microsoft Partners to use Seamless Move for NCE Azure on their CloudBlue marketplaces.

This is performed against the Connect Processor affecting all of the Distributor’s CloudBlue marketplaces.

To enable or disable Seamless Move, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to the CloudBlue Connect Distributor Portal. (CloudBlue Dedicated SaaS Commerce customers will have CloudBlue SaaS Technical Operations perform this on their behalf.)

  2. Select Products > NCE Azure.

  3. Select Configuration.

  4. Set the seamless_move_enabled parameter to Enabled or Disabled.

  5. Save and exit.

Note: This change will have immediate effect in production.

How To Use Seamless Move for Microsoft Azure

Importing Multiple Subscriptions as a Reseller

Seamless Move allows you import all the customer's subscriptions at once or just some of them. To do this, you just need to enter the customer ID and the corresponding Microsoft domain. Then, all the customer's subscriptions will be listed and you will be able to import all of them at once or select just the ones that you need to import.

To import multiple subscriptions, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to the UX1 control panel as a reseller and click Seamless Move > Azure.

  2. Fill in the following fields:

    • Customer ID: Select the CloudBlue Commerce customer account where the subscriptions will be imported.

    • Microsoft Domain: Microsoft domain name of the subscription to be imported.

Note: The Microsoft Entitlement ID field must not be filled in when importing multiple subscriptions.

  3. To import additional Azure subscriptions, click Add more and repeat step 2.

  4. Select the checkboxes corresponding to the subscriptions that you need to import. You can select all the subscriptions at once by clicking the checkbox at the top. In the example below only one subscription was found.

  5. Review the service plan that will be assigned to each selected subscription. If there is no service plan available for the subscription, it will not be possible to import it. In that case, the subscription will have a background color and it will be disabled.

If several service plans are found, you must choose one of them before proceeding with the import. In this case, the service plans found will be displayed in a drop-down list in the Plan column. Choose one of the plans to continue.

  6. Click Import to start the process. If the migration order is completed successfully, a pop-up message with the migration order number will be displayed.

Importing a Single Subscription as a Reseller

If you need to import only one subscription, you can specify the Microsoft Entitlement ID for the subscription. Follow these steps to import an Azure NCE subscription to CloudBlue Commerce:

  1. Log in to the UX1 control panel as a reseller and click Seamless Move > Azure.

  2. Fill in the following fields:

    • Customer ID: Select the CloudBlue Commerce customer account where the subscriptions will be imported.

    • Microsoft domain name: Microsoft domain name of the subscription to be imported.

    • Microsoft entitlement Id: Specify the entitlement ID of the subscription. In the Microsoft Partner Center this is shown as "Azure Subscription" under the "Azure Plan".

  3. To import additional Microsoft Azure subscriptions, click Add more and repeat step 2.

  5. Click Import to start the process. If the migration order is completed successfully, a pop-up message with the migration order number will be displayed.

    • Microsoft Domain Name: Microsoft domain name of the subscriptions to be imported.

    • Microsoft Entitlement ID: You can use this field if you only want to import a specific subscription. In that case, specify the entitlement ID of the subscription. This is shown in the Microsoft Partner Center as "Azure Subscription" under the "Azure Plan".

Note: The Microsoft Entitlement ID must not be filled in when importing multiple subscriptions.

  3. To import additional Microsoft Azure subscriptions, click Add more and repeat step 2.
