Connecting Apps in Zapier
To establish an integration between CloudBlue Commerce and the third-party business application, the corresponding platform app accounts must be connected to Zapier. This connection is required to provide Zapier secure access to read and write data in both the platform accounts of the user.
Connect app accounts
You can establish this connection in two ways:
Connect app accounts on the My Apps page
You can connect platforms from the My Apps page after you log in to your Zapier account.
To connect app accounts on the My Apps page, complete the following steps:
- On the Zapier Dashboard, in the left pane, click My Apps.
- On the My Apps page, in the Connect a new account list, select the name of the platform app to which you want to connect. You are prompted to log in to that platform.
- On the login page, provide the credentials of the platform app account to log in.
Connect app accounts on the Zap editor
You can connect new apps when you create Zaps. While creating or modifying the details of a Zap on the Zap editor, you select a source app to specify a trigger and a target app to specify the corresponding action for the trigger.
To enable Zapier to automatically capture event data in the source, communicate with the CloudBlue Commerce Zap to perform the corresponding action, and then update statuses, you must first connect the apps to Zapier.
To connect app account on the Zap editor, complete the following steps:
- Log in to your Zapier account.
- Navigate to your Zap.
NOTE: If you have not created a Zap, refer to Creating Zaps.
- On the Zap configuration page, under the Choose App & Event section, select the platform app.
- Click CONTINUE.
- Under Choose Account, click the Sign in to <platform app> button.
- On the login page, provide the credentials of the platform app account to log in.
The connection between Zapier and a platform is established only if an authentication procedure is defined for that platform. Refer to Authenticating in Zapier.
On successful authentication, Zapier obtains access to the platform and a connection is established between the two.
Test the connection
Under My Connections, you can view the list of all apps connected to Zapier. Click Test to verify the connection.
NOTE: In case of errors, click Reconnect to establish the connection. You may click Disconnect to remove the connection. However, on disconnecting, all integrations associated with the app is lost from Zapier.
