Business Workflow and Object Mapping
Zapier workflows
This integration includes two main workflows:
- The forward flow (ServiceNow to CloudBlue Commerce) enables capturing Purchase Orders placed or updated in ServiceNow, and then transmitting them to CloudBlue Commerce as Purchase Requests for order provisioning.
- The return flow (CloudBlue Commerce to ServiceNow) enables synchronizing the statuses between Purchase Request in ServiceNow and Purchase Requests in CloudBlue Commerce.
The following figure represents the business flow of an order fulfillment.

Object-Relation Mapping
Object-relational mapping helps to convert data between two incompatible systems. In this scenario, it facilitates effective data conversion and transfer from ServiceNow to CloudBlue Commerce and the other way round. Object mapping is done at the backend.
For instance, when a Purchase Order is placed in ServiceNow, the corresponding Purchase Request is created in CloudBlue Commerce. This data flow is possible if the Purchase Order object in ServiceNow is mapped to the Service Plan object in CloudBlue Commerce.
The following table provides information about object mappings between ServiceNow and CloudBlue Commerce.
ServiceNow Objects | CloudBlue Commerce Objects |
---|---|
User | User |
Purchase Order | Sales Order |
Item | Service Plan |
Company1 | Service provider |
Company2 | Reseller |
