Release Notes for Monitoring Suite 1.1-11

This version of CloudBlue Commerce Monitoring Suite brings the following improvements:

All items from CBC Business Metrics, CBC JMX, CBC MN Services and CBC UI Services are grouped using the CloudBlue Commerce application.
New metrics were added to CBC MN Services for monitoring Identity Service and Order Management applications.
CloudBlue Commerce Monitoring Suite scripts are now compatible with RHEL/CentOS 6.
Health checks have been made more representative: Now, health check triggers fire after 5 failed checks in a row. Previously, triggers fired after a single failure.

Fixed Issues

OA-10809: Checks for panel login failed for brands secured with a wildcard SSL certificate. Now SSL issues are ignored by these checks.
OA-10852: CloudBlue Commerce misconfiguration could lead to admin user lock. The default credentials for the panel login checks were updated to avoid admin user lock.

Release Notes for Monitoring Suite 1.1-5

In this version of CloudBlue Commerce Monitoring Suite, a new group of metrics was added - CBC Business Metrics. These metrics are used to check subscriptions based on the top 10 service templates for failed and stalled orders.

Note: The top 10 service templates include those that have the most subscriptions and at least one new subscription created in last 30 days.

To start monitoring orders, you need to link the new template with one management node. Perform the following steps for this purpose.

Upgrade Monitoring Suite to version 1.1-5.
Link the CBC Business Metrics template with one of CloudBlue Commerce management nodes. To do this, perform the following steps:
1. In Zabbix control panel, go to Configuration > Hosts.
2. Click on the management node name to open its configuration.
3. Switch to the Templates tab and link the CBC Business Metrics to the host.
  
  Make sure that the template was added as Linked templates. When finished, click Add.

The order estimation operation latency (oa.jmx.rest_estimate_order)
The order placement operation latency (oa.jmx.rest_place_order)
The number of threads which are currently processing requests in the UI (oa.jmx.xnio_worker_pui)
The number of threads which are currently processing requests in the OSS XML-RPC engine (oa.jmx.xnio_worker_remoting)
The number of threads which are currently processing requests in the APS controller (oa.jmx.xnio_worker_apscontroller)

Release Notes for Monitoring Suite 1.0-17

CloudBlue Commerce Monitoring Suite is a platform extension that collects and reports crucial metrics of CloudBlue Commerce, which are necessary for understanding the system state and for diagnostics of various issues.

These metrics can be divided into two categories:

heartbeat - information about availability of its components, for example, whether a log in operation is available on a particular UI node, or whether an APS endpoint is operational.
performance - information about the system performance, for example, if the time to log in to UX1 is acceptable, or whether it takes too long to change subscription limits.

With these metrics, you can identify malfunctioning parts of the system and be alerted about performance issues.
