Granting Resellers Access to PLM
Tip: For PLM terminology, refer to the Glossary.
Resellers receive access to the PLM functionality through the specially designed plan, In-House Products for Resellers. This plan is created in CloudBlue Commerce automatically during PLM deployment. A subscription to this plan must be created for a reseller. With this subscription, a reseller can create their own internally fulfilled products in PLM.
Note: The provider needs to adjust resource limits for the In-House Products for Resellers plan. Each resource rate will correspond to one product that a reseller will be able to create.
To grant access to PLM to resellers:
-
Share this plan with a reseller to give the reseller the ability to make this plan available for a next-level reseller.
-
Sell this plan through the provider (for L1 reseller) or reseller (for L2 reseller) UX1 Marketplace. For additional information, refer to Purchasing on Behalf of Resellers and Customers and Purchase on behalf of Customers.
Note: Operating units and resellers configured under operating units cannot use PLM to work with plans that were shared with them by the provider. However, they can sell their plans through the UX1 Marketplace.
